High School Career

As a senior, Lee was named to the All-America teams by Street & Smith and Parade magazines.

He was chosen to the All-State and All-South honor teams after leading DeLand High to a runner-up spot in the state tournament with a 26-8 record. He averaged 20 ppg and 11.3 rpg.

A two-year regular in high school, his single game scoring high was 36 points.

Lee designed his prep team's uniforms as a senior, similar to Marquette's. On his signing day, he also added that it had been a “life-long dream” to play for Marquette.

He is not related to Butch Lee.

Marquette Career

Lee averaged 6.8 points per game as a sophomore and 15.9 points per game as a junior. He led Marquette in scoring (17.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.5 rpg) during the 1980-81 season.
