Boylan averaged seven points per game during the 1976-77 season and 8.9 points per game the following year.
After leaving Marquette, Boylan played professionally overseas before getting into coaching in both the college and professional ranks. He became the interim head coach of the Chicago Bulls after Scott Skiles was fired in December of 2007.
