2007

Mastandrea saw action in 42 games, placing second on the team with 143 assists on the season. More than doubled her previous career-high of 21 assists with 50 in action against West Virginia (Oct. 28). Mastandrea also tallied double-digits assists with 17 at Syracuse (Oct. 19) and 28 against Seton Hall (Nov. 9). At West Virginia (Oct. 28) she recorded a career-best nine of her 20 kills on the season. Registered double-figure attacks twice on the season, with a collegiate-high 24 at West Virginia (Oct. 28). Also established career-bests at West Virginia of three service aces and 12 digs.

2006

Mastandrea saw action in 11 matches in her first season at Marquette. In her second career match, registered 21 assists in 3-2 defeat of Stony Brook (Sept. 16). She totaled 56 assists on the season, dishing out 3.29 per game.

Downers Grove South High School

Mastandrea was a three-year letterwinner for Downers Grove South High School. She helped the Mustangs to three straight conference championships (2003-05), back-to-back regional and sectional championships (2003 and 2004) and a fourth-place finish at the Illinois State Championships in 2004. As team captain in 2005, Mastandrea was also an acadmic all-conference selection in and was named team MVP, while posting 460 assists, 75 digs, 67 kills, 30 blocks and 10 service aces. In her junior year (2004), she earned All-Area honors and led the team in digs (245), and was second on the team in kills (255). A member of the First Alliance, Mastandrea helped her club team to qualify for Junior Olympic Nationals five consecutive years.

Personal

Mastandrea was born in Evergreen Park, Ill., on December 9, 1987. She is the daughter of Pete and Tina Mastandrea and is the sister of Peter and Annie. Her father Pete played football and baseball at Illinois Benedictine, her brother Peter played football at Dayton and her sister Annie is currently a member of the Purdue volleyball team. Says her athletic inspiration are her brother and sister. Mastandrea is a public relations major.
