Committment

On August 16, 2009, Marquette recieved a verbal commitment from Jamail Jones. Jones had recieved offers from Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Cincinnati, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Virginia, and Xavier. Florida State and Kentucky showed interest as well despite not offering a scholarship.

2010-2011

Made his MU debut in the season opener vs. Prairie View A&M (Nov. 12) and was credited with one assist and one steal in eight minutes of action … Scored his first collegiate basket vs. South Dakota (Nov. 20) … Contributed a career-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and recorded his first career block vs. Centenary (Dec. 18) … Pulled down a game- and career-high seven rebounds and added four points vs. Louisville (Mar. 10) in a career-high 17 minutes.
