Not exactly a bar, but nonetheless has a presence on the Marquette campus. Angelo's (aka 'blows') is located at the intersection of 16th and Wells, and is one of the few remaining alcohol vendors on campus along with Murphy's, Jim Hegarty's, Caffrey's and the Union Sports Annex. Known for its hospitality to underage undergrads, Angelo's has reasonable drink prices, but its environment is not the best.

“For more than 60 years, The ‘Lanche was more than a staple to the Marquette community – it was home; the final bar stop; the place where students met the locals and all drank cheap “blues.” When it closed on April 24, 1997, news reports said The Avalanche closed because of problems with rowdy patrons and vandalism, but we know that MU wanted the space for university use. Resting peacefully at the intersection of Water and Knapp by day, The Corner turns into a raucous party after dark, attracting a slew of primarily underage drinkers from several Milwaukee-area colleges (and probably a few high schools as well).
