David Leigh

Dave took over as head athletic trainer for Marquette in 1983. Prior to coming to Marquette, Leigh was the head athletic trainier at UW- La Crosse for six years. He also served as an assistant athletic trainer at Arizona and Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.

In June of 1993, Leigh worked as the athletic trainer for USA Basketball's Under-22 men's basketball team. The squad, which was coached by Roy Williams of Kansas, competed in the qualifying tournament in Argentina. Leigh was chosen by the United States Olympic Training Committee to serve as a trainer for the National Sports Fesitvals III & IV in 1981 and 1982, respectively. He worked as a trainer for the US women's volleyball team that competed in the Pan American games in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1983.

A native of Melrose, Massachussets, he received a bachelor's degree from Cal State-Long Beach in 1975. Leigh earned a master's degree from Arizona in 1976. Dave is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He and his wife, Donna, reside in Menomonoee Falls. They have two daughters, Allison and Meredith.
