Hickey Wins his 400th as MU Exterminates the Gophers
December 23, 1961- Marquette presented Coach Eddie Hickey with his 400th college coaching victory and Minnesota with its fourth loss of the season, 69-63, at the Arena.
The Warriors hit 18 of 36 shots from the floor in the first half and held a 41-24 lead. From there on, it was all Minnesota, as the Warriors jabbed a little and clinched a lot, but held on for the decision.
