Wolf's average of 29.5 ppg led the state in scoring during his senior season. He scored 1,118 points in his career, including 591 as a senior, earning AP all-state and UPI second team all-state honors that year.

Wolf led Marquette in scoring during his final two seasons and was named team captain during his senior year, 1966-67.
He returned to Marquette as a graduate assistant in 1970.
Wolf was the first Marquette player drafted by an ABA team, when New York selected him in the fifth round of the 1967 draft. Wolf was also selected in the seventh round of the NBA draft (70th overall) by the Chicago Bulls, but never logged minutes in either league.
